Bob Dylan, the american singer, won the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature.
Dylan, best known as a musician, won the prize for having "created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition".
A well deserved prize for the poet, since the 60's Dylan has been in the front line of poetry, having written songs about love, life, politics, revolutions, relationships. He always had, and still has, a genius way of choosing words and, let's not forget, most of today's songs are poetry translated into music.
Dylan was the first musician to have won a prize like this because of his lyrics.
Well done!
